Choose Window > Show View > Other from the IDE menu bar.
The
Show View dialog appears.
Expand the Debug group and select Target Tasks.
Click OK.
Click the Create a new Target Task button on the Target Tasks view toolbar. Alternatively, right-click in the Target Tasks view and choose New Task from the shortcut menu.
The
Create a New Target Task wizard appears.

Type name for the new task in the Task Name textbox.
Choose a launch configuration from the Run Configuration pop-up menu.
Note: If the task does not successfully launch the configuration that you specify, the Execute button on the Target Tasks view toolbar stays unavailable.
Choose Hardware Diagnostic from the Task Type pop-up menu.
Click Finish.
A new hardware diagnostic task is created in the
Target Tasks view.
Note: You can perform various actions on a hardware diagnostic task, such as renaming, deleting, or executing the task, using the shortcut menu that appears on right-clicking the task in the Target tasks view.
