SN220 is a family of single die secured NFC controller products that provide the most advanced generation of NXP Semiconductors NFC controller combined with the best in class Embedded Secure Element (P73 based).

SN220 solution defines the state of the art in terms of NFC superior RF performance and hardware security enabling a wide range of application in the domain of secure connectivity.

Features

SN220T

  • Composed of two subsystems (NFC Controller and Secure Element) which are kept functionally split.
  • The two subsystems communicate internally via a secure on-chip mailbox interface.
  • Secure Element subsystem provides legacy use case such as payment, transit, access and so on (eSE Domain).

SN220U

  • Convergence product.
  • It has the same features set as the SN220T with addition of eUICC functionality.
  • The eUICC is hosted in a dedicated logical GP domain (eUICC domain) within the Embedded Secure Element next to the legacy eSE domain.

SN220F/SN220P

  • Provides respectively same features as SN220T and SN220U but with preloaded FeliCa applications (Applets) for Japan market.

SN220E

  • Provides NFC and eUICC functionalities (no eSE domain).
