2x2 MIMO 11ac/ax 5GHz Transceiver


The transceiver includes two transmitters and three receivers to support 2x2 MIMO operation with an independent observation receiver. It uses a direct conversion architecture for both RX and TX. The device includes channel filtering and high-speed data converters.

The receive chain has low noise and high dynamic range. The analog baseband filters have on-chip calibration and supports a large range of modulation bandwidths ranging from 10 to 100 MHz.

An internal crystal oscillator is implemented to enable usage of a low cost crystal.

The transceiver is optimized for high performance applications and is compliant with the IEEE 802.11a/ac standards and its flexibility makes it ideal for proprietary ISM band solutions.

The TSMC 28nm HPM technology enables novel design techniques for a robust and flexible solution, which makes the transceiver suitable for high-end, large volume applications like access points and wireless routers.
