Low Power Multi-Mode Connectivity Front-End IP – Bluetooth® Low Energy/802.15.4

The low power connectivity front-end IP is suited for a wide range of SoC integrations for Bluetooth low energy and IEEE802.15.4 applications. It enables implementations that are compliant with Bluetooth Core Specification version 4.2 and to IEEE802.15.4-2011 Clause 10 for ZigBee applications. It is prepared for compliance with all PHY-related features of Bluetooth 5, including 2 Mb/s and Long Range modes.

The IP includes the RF transceiver, a digital signal conditioning block to connect to a suitable modem/MAC in order to build a complete combo wireless node, and a low-level radio controller. It fits seamlessly into the ARM® Cordio® platform. The IP is designed for manufacturing in TSMC’s 28 nm HPC(+) technology.
