Low power Multi-Mode Connectivity IP – Bluetooth/802.15.4

The low power Connectivity IP is an IP that is suited for a wide range of SoC integrations. It features Bluetooth Basic Rate BR, Extended Data Rate EDR (2 and 3 Mb/s modes) and Bluetooth Low Energy LE. It is fully compliant with Bluetooth Core Specification Version 4.2 and prepared for compliance with all PHY-related features of Version 5.0, including 2 Mbps and Long Range modes. Additionally it supports Clause 10 of the IEEE802.15.4 Standard (DSSS-OQPSK in the 2.45 GHz ISM band for ZigBee).

A co-existence and prioritization scheme enables seamless co-operation between the Bluetooth BR/EDR and LE modes and the 802.15.4 mode in the IP. For co-existence with ISM-band W-LAN transceivers, a PTA interface has been implemented.

The IP includes the RF transceiver, digital modem, Baseband Resource Manager, Link and Device Managers and HCI command and data interface subsystems. It is designed for manufacturing in 28 nm technology.
