Cortex-M4 MCUs with Cortex-M0 Co-Processors

The aysmmetric dual-core architecture of the LPC4300 series combine an ARM Cortex-M4F and Cortex-M0 coprocessor core so tasks can be strategically partitioned for higher performance and efficiency. Equipped with digital signal processing with the connectivity and simplicity of a MCU and the ability to crunch complex algorithms for data-intensive applications, the LPC4300 provides a seamless upwards migration path from the LPC1800 MCUs for more processing power.

The LPC4300 are ideal solutions for:

    The world's first MCUs to combine Cortex-M4 and Cortex-M0 cores

    In the LPC4300 series, the Cortex-M4 processor combines the benefits of a microcontroller with high-performance digital signal processing features such as single-cycle MAC, Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) techniques, saturating arithmetic, and a Floating Point Unit (FPU).

    What makes the LPC4300 unique is its dual-core architecture and advanced peripherals. These are areas where a competitive advantage can be gained. Key reasons a customer will consider the LPC4300 series include the following:

    • Dual-core architecture: Only NXP combines M4 with M0, for more efficient designs
    • Performance: At 204 MHz, the LPC4300 is the fastest Cortex-M4 available
    • Peripherals: Configurable options not found elsewhere, plus USB (with PHY) and LCD interfaces
