As industries and governments increasingly mandate secure update capabilities, end users also demand robust protection for their devices. Implementing a truly secure boot loader, however, is a complex process.
In this session, we walk through key boot loader features, definitions and encryption techniques, along with a step-by-step guide to using NXP’s Secure Boot Loader (SBL). It covers how to sign and encrypt application images, flashloaders and the SBL. This presentation also explores how to generate certificate and key pairs with NXP’s provisioning tool, configure the SBL for your specific requirements, automate steps with scripts, set boot fuses and work with BootROM and High Assurance Boot (HAB).
Gain the knowledge and tools needed to implement secure, reliable firmware updates using NXP’s SBL. To supplement your boot loader learning experience, reference MCUXpresso Secure Provisioning Tool.
