The NTAG I2C was the first product of NXP’s NTAG family offering both contactless and contact interface. Meanwhile NTAG I2C plus, which is fully backward compatible, but with an extended feature set and improved interoperability is available. For new projects, NXP recommends using NTAG I2C plus.
