The following LDMOS Model Library releases have been archived
and are available only from this page.
When using these libraries be advised that Application Support is not available for archived versions of LDMOS Model Libraries. |
In this version of the LDMOS Model Library (1.3.1200 Release) only Agilent® EEsof®'s ADS® v1.3 (UNIX and PC) nonlinear circuit simulator will be supported. The LDMOS Model Library is available for all major computer platforms including Microsoft® Windows® 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT® 4.0, Solaris® 2.6 and HP-UX® 10.2. The LDMOS Model Library is implemented in ADS by means of a custom palette.
The Motorola Electro Thermal (MET) model for LDMOS transistors is a nonlinear model that links electrical and thermal phenomena and can account for dynamic self-heating effects on device performance. It is specifically tailored to model high power LDMOS transistors used in base station, HDTV digital broadcast, and land mobile radio applications. Implemented in the Agilent ADS harmonic balance simulator, the MET LDMOS model is capable of performing small-signal, large-signal, harmonic balance, noise and transient simulations. Unlike the Root model, the MET model can simulate self heating effects, allowing the circuit designer to link thermal and electrical effects. The MET LDMOS model is available as compiled object code for all major computer platforms. An Agilent ADS harmonic balance simulator executable is provided for all major computer platforms or the object code can easily be linked with Agilent EEsof's ADS harmonic balance simulator. The Root model is an Agilent EEsof's proprietary model. It is a table based model and does not account for self-heating effects. The Root model is available in Agilent EEsof's ADS. This release of the MET LDMOS model is v1.3.1200. Refer to the MET LDMOS Known Problems file for more details on known limitations of the model. Refer to the MET LDMOS Documentation pdf file for more details on the MET LDMOS model. Refer to the LDMOS Model Library table to download all the necessary library files for ADS circuit simulators in the various platforms. Refer to the LDMOS Model Validation table to download pdf files with large signal model validation plots and example ADS project file. |

LDMOS Model Library Files |
The
following table contains all the necessary LDMOS Model Library files for
ADS v1.3. For each computer platform there is a Java
installer program. Refer to the library
readme file for directions on using the Java installer.
Release
1.3.1200 replaces the previous LDMOS Model Library files (release
1.3.1100).
Note: The Binary Files have been modified for this release and are compiled with ADS version updated to v1.3 Service Pack 3 and is NOT compatible with previous service packs. Make sure ADS v1.3 Service Pack 3 is properly installed before executing the Java installer program. |
