Our low noise amplifier (LNA) portfolio offers solutions to meet future design needs in a wide range of applications. Two technologies serve the LNA portfolio, each with distinct advantages for their applications. Wireless infrastructure applications and many general wireless applications are served with III-V technology LNAs. Advanced SiGe technology is used in LNAs designed for wireless communication, cellular, consumer, automotive and industrial applications. Combining high performance with features and application-specific design tools, our LNAs help to enable new design opportunities and contribute to shorter design cycles.

LNAs for Wireless Infrastructure | Modern base station receivers for wireless communication infrastructures cope with extreme sensitivity and intermodulation characteristics, requiring sub 1 dB noise figures and high linearity for the low noise amplifier (LNA). Until recently, these specifications were only met using compound semiconductor technologies like GaAs PHEMT. However, our latest developments with their SiGe:C BiCMOS process, e.g the QUBiC4X technology, speeds the migration from Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) to Silicon (Si) by offering comparable or better linearity, DC power consumption, immunity against out-of-band signals, spurious emission performance and increased output power. |
LNAs for Set-Top Boxes (75Ω) | High linearity, low noise. These wideband LNAs support multituner applications in TVs, DVR/PVRs and STBs operating between 40 MHz and 1 GHZ. Their programmable gain with bypass mode compensates for tuner switch signal loss and improves overall system performance by 7 to 10 dB. |

LNAs for Car Radio | The advanced ALNA is the integrated antenna low noise amplifier solution for car radio (AM/FM/DAB). It offers system cost reduction through integration as well as outstanding performance with its highly linear gain. One key feature is the continuous AGC for each path with configurable thresholds. |
