NXP's Remote I/O Platform (RIOP) accelerates the development of industrial automation and distributed control systems by combining high-accuracy data acquisition, secure edge processing and industrial networking in a modular, production-ready platform. Built on the i.MX RT1180 crossover MCU and NAFE analog front-end, RIOP enables remote I/O, sensor aggregation and machine connectivity over EtherCAT®, EtherNet/IP™ and PROFINET®-RT networks. With validated hardware, software and protocol stacks, developers can reduce integration effort, shorten development cycles and bring Industry 4.0 applications to market faster.
