The NXP® MC33811 is a 5 channel solenoid monitor IC that is used to verify proper electrical and mechanical solenoid operation.

  • Contains five solenoid driver voltage monitoring stages and a SPI for fault communication and setup
  • The IC has the ability to determine the correct movement of solenoid armatures by analyzing the variation in the voltage profile, across the solenoid driver MOSFET, which represents the actual solenoid current profile
  • These features, along with cost effective packaging, make the MC33811 ideal for powertrain solenoid monitoring applications
