DRM104, In this document we provide an SD card reader solution that uses the MC9S08JM60 microcontroller. This reference design serves as an example of a USB mass-storage device using the NXP JM USB microcontroller family. The MC9S08JM60 acts as a bridge between a PC USB host and an SD card.
MC9S08JM60FS: The 8-bit MC9S08JM60 device further extends NXP’s 8-bit embedded USB controller family with up to 60 Kbytes of flash memory, a full-speed USB 2.0 device controller and a 12-channel, 12-bit analog- to-digital converter. The S08 JM family also has several system protection features, such as low-voltage detect and a Computer Operating Properly (COP) module.
DEMOJM is a cost-effective kit targeting quick microcontroller evaluation. The kit includes a DEMOJM base board, a red MCF51JM128 daughter card and a green MC9S08JM60 daughter card. The included kit can first be used to demonstrate the features of the MC9S08JM60 devices, starting with an on-chip USB device controller and transceiver. Then, move to MCF51JM128 with an on-chip USB On-The-Go (OTG) dual-role controller.
