FRDM-STBI-NPM8
Freedom Shield Evaluation Board for NPM8 Industrial Pressure Monitoring Sensor.
Kit Contains
- FRDM-STBI-NPM8 shield board compatible with Arduino® Uno headers
- 10x jumpers for hardware configuration
The FRDM-STBI-NPM8 is an evaluation board designed with essential headers, jumpers and signal test points to facilitate the quick evaluation of the NPM8 pressure sensor. It is compatible with Arduino UNO headers, allowing it to be hosted by any compatible board.
The recommended hosting MCU board for the NPM8 shield is the FRDM-MCXW71, which allows it to be mounted on top. The FRDM-MCXW71 supports data and command transfer via SPI transactions. With its integrated 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, the FRDM-MCXW71 is ideal for enabling sensor connectivity. This setup requires a PC and the accompanying software package (demo) available from NXP.
The FRDM-STBI-NPM8 can also operate in standalone mode, where the NPM8 sensor acts as a host to external devices, sensors or peripherals through the Arduino expansion headers. Additionally, it features a dedicated interface that routes UART signals to support an IN100 NanoBeacon Bluetooth Low Energy Development board from InPlay.
Additionally, the FRDM-STBI-NPM8 is suited for industrial applications that demand pressure sensors with high-pressure range capabilities like Industrial Pneumatic Tools.
