Power Inverter Systems (PIM) Hardware Solutions

NXP Power Inverter Module (PIM) solutions were developed to provide an easy-to-use platform for evaluating NXP products. The platforms are configured for longer battery life, smaller form factor, reduced component count, lower BOM cost and improved performance in powering high voltage (HV) electric vehicle (EV) traction inverters. Solutions are provided for both HV IGBT and HV SiC MOSFET-based power modules.

The PIM reference designs combine NXP’s comprehensive automotive portfolio of world-class automotive MCUs, CAN bus interfaces, safety system basis chips and HV Gate Drivers. The platforms provide ASIL D system level functional safety design, enablement software and safety documentation.
