The NXP analog product development board provides an easy-to-use platform for evaluating NXP products. The board supports a range of analog, mixed-signal and power solutions. They incorporate monolithic integrated circuits (ICs) and system-in-package (SiP) devices that use proven high-volume technology. NXP products offer longer battery life, a smaller form factor, reduced component counts, lower cost and improved performance in powering state-of-the-art systems.
This guide will talk you through the process of setting up and using the BATT26EMULATOR board.
The BATT26EMULATOR board can emulate a multi-cell battery pack that can be hooked up to the evaluation boards (EVBs) for BMA7126, BMA7426, BMA7124, BMA7424 26-cell and 24-cell battery cell controllers (BCC)

Each cell emulator consists of an unregulated isolated 5 V-to-5 V DC-to-DC converter and an adjustable regulator. The cell voltages are set using voltage sliders Cell 0 to Cell 25. Minimum voltage is set to 1.2 V. Maximum voltage is set to 3.3 V.

The emulator board requires a 5 V DC power supply with 5 A current capability. The power supply is connected to the board via J5, a Ø2.5 mm jack connector or using the 2 mm bananas J3(+) and J4(-). The center pin is connected to the positive voltage and the ring terminal is connected to ground. The board input is protected by a 5 A fuse. An LED will indicate that the board is powered on. If the voltage is present on the jack connector but the LED is off, check the F1 fuse.
Up to two EVBs "EVBMA7X2YDT1" can be connected to connectors J1 and J2 in either order.

Two 40-pin connectors, J1 and J2 (JAE Electronics MX34040NF2), are connected in parallel, as shown in Figure 3. Up to two boards (for example, EVBMA7X2YDT1) can be connected to either of these connectors.
The BATT26EMULATOR is intended for use with an EVBMA7X2YDT1. To comply with the BMA7x2y BCC IC's architecture, 18 cells are positioned above the BCC ground (GND) (sliders Cell 0 to 17), while eight cells are below the BCC GND (sliders Cell 18 to 25). The GND is connected to C0M.
Slider Cell 0 sets the voltage between C0M (cell0M) and C1M (cell0P), Slider Cell 1 sets the voltage between C1M (cell1M) and C2M (cell1P) and so on. Slider Cell 17 sets the voltage between C17M (cell17M) and C17P (cell17P).
C17P-PWR(pin 1) and GND (pin 17-20) are used to supply the BMA7X2YDT1 and are separated from C17P and C0M respectively to avoid any voltage drop due to the current consumption of the EVBs.
The temperature-sensor slider is connected to pin 37 to pin 40.
