24-Channel and 26-Channel Li-Ion BCC IC ASIL D
The BMA7124 and BMA7126 are automotive lithium-ion battery cell controllers (BCCs) integrated circuits (ICs) supporting 24 and 26 cells, respectively, with high-accuracy analog-to-digital controllers (ADCs) on each voltage channel. This family of products offer the BMA742x variants with a discrete fourier transform (DFT) engine for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). All the devices share pin compatibility and a shared software platform to enable a cost-effective EIS upgrade path. These consume only 4 mA (typ.) and support ASIL D functional safety.

- Supports ISO 26262 ASIL D for cell voltage and temperature measurements

- Isolated daisy chain up to 62 nodes or serial peripheral interface (SPI) communication

- Low external bill of materials (BOM) cost
On-Board Passive Cell Balancing
- Up to 300 mA peak cell balancing with diagnostics
- Automatic odd/even balancing sequence
- Timer-, voltage-, temperature- and pulse-width modulation (PWM)-controlled balancing
- Low integrated balancing metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) drain-to-source on-resistance (RdsON)
