The BMA7418 is an automotive lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery cell controller IC designed for battery management systems requiring high-accuracy cell monitoring and functional safety.
The BMA7418 integrates a dedicated analog-to-digital converter (ADC) for each voltage measurement channel and supports electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) through high synchronization capability and integrated Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) processing.
Pin-compatible and software-compatible with the BMA7118, the BMA7418 enables scalable system designs and platform reuse. Its integrated DC-to-DC converter helps reduce power consumption, while its fully redundant architecture supports ISO 26262 ASIL D functional safety requirements.
