1. Out of the Box

The NXP analog product development boards provide an easy-to-use platform for evaluating NXP products. The boards support a range of analog, mixed-signal and power solutions. They incorporate monolithic integrated circuits and system-in-package devices that use proven high-volume technology. NXP products offer improved performance, a smaller form factor, reduced component counts and lower system cost in powering state-of-the-art designs. This page will guide you through the process of setting up and using the P3H2x4xHN-ARD evaluation boards.

1.1 Kit Contents and Packing List

The P3H2x4xHN-ARD contents include:

  • Assembled and tested evaluation board in an antistatic bag

1.2 Additional Hardware

In addition to the kit contents, the following hardware is necessary or beneficial when working with this board.

1.3 Minimum System Requirements

These evaluation boards require a Windows PC workstation. Meeting these minimum specifications should produce great results when working with these evaluation boards:

  • PC with Windows 10 or 11 operating system
  • One USB port (either 3.0 or 2.0 or 1.1 compatible)
  • USB cable for power and data connection between PC and EVK board

1.4 Software

Installing software is necessary to work with these evaluation boards. All listed software is available on the evaluation board's information page at P3H2x4xHN-ARD.

2. Get Hardware

2.1 Board Features

  • On-board 1.0 V/ 1.2 V/ 1.8 V LDOs
  • Two temperature sensors (P3T1755DP) with alert LEDs
  • Two controller port connectors and eight target port connectors for P3H2840HN and P3H2841HN evaluation boards
  • Two controller port connectors and four target port connectors for P3H2440HN and P3H2441HN evaluation boards
  • Convenient test points for easy scope measurements and signal access
  • Easy to use GUI based software demonstrates the capabilities of the P3H2440HN, P3H2441HN, P3H2840HN and P3H2841HN

2.2 Board Description

P3H2x4xHN-ARD evaluation boards are a complete evaluation platform for the P3H2440HN / P3H2441HN with two controller port connectors and four target port connectors, and for P3H2840HN / P3H2841HN with two controller port connectors and four target port connectors.

Moreover, the P3H2440HN / P3H2441HN / P3H2840HN / P3H2841HN are equipped with convenient test points for easy scope measurements and signal access, a USB interface to the host PC, a Windows GUI software and a power supply from USB port or external power supply that can be used to power evaluation board.
