USB PD stands for USB Power Delivery. Our USB PD solutions provide higher power delivery than legacy USB specifications. The maximum power delivery via USB PD 2.0 can be up to 5 A and 20 V through connector or 3 A and 20 V through USB cable. The USB PD protocol also communicates characteristics of peripherals to establish link operation—such as a USB Type-C cable adapter communicating product capability information. “Alternate Mode” support transports non-USB data over Type-C.
