What is ADAS?

ADAS, or Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, refers to sensors designed to monitor the vehicle's surroundings, enhancing safety and providing support to drivers. Common sensors used in vehicles include cameras, radar, LiDAR, ultrasonics and ultra-wideband (UWB). Each sensor typically comprises a sensing element, a processing unit and a networking component to relay data to the decision-making electronic control unit (ECU).
