These devices offer a simple, non-invasive method to monitor the percentage of hemoglobin in the blood that is saturated with oxygen. Saturation level and heart rate are displayed on an LCD display.
Pulse oximeters come as standalone, portable units or as part of a larger patient monitoring system.
