The KW38-ER-RD extended range module reference design uses an external power amplifier to boost the transmitter output power to +20 dBm. This enables a wider range for applications that require communications over long distances or in harsh RF environments. The module uses the KW38 wireless MCU, which is pin-to-pin compatible with KW37 and KW39. The KW38-ER-RD extended range module is a small form-factor reference design compatible with the mikroBUS click board standard.
