The Flexray Daughter Card (FRDC) is an additional board that can be used in conjunction with some NXP^® Evaluation Boards (EVBs) to enable customers to learn about and evaluate Flexray Networks using NXP solutions that do not have Flexray on chip. The FRDC can be connected to a number of different EVB's including some from the MPC500, MPC5500 and S12(X) (families).

A list of MCUs and tools that can be used in conjunction with the FRDC is shown under “Supported Devices.” For a complete solution, the adapter board must be ordered with the MFR4310FRDC.

NXP has a wide range of products which include integrated Flexray controllers.
