The TWR-KW2x is the development tool for the Kinetis® KW2x MCU devices, Our next-generation IEEE® 802.15.4 smart radio platform.

Kinetis KW2x MCUs are a low-power, compact integrated family of devices consisting of a high-performance 2.4 GHz IEEE 802.15.4 compliant radio transceiver and a powerful Arm® Cortex®-M4 core system with connectivity and precision mixed-signal analog peripherals.

There are two development hardware options:

  • Use TWR-KW21D256 for MKW21D256V and MKW21D512V
  • Use TWR-KW24D512 for MKW22D512V and MKW24D512V

  • An optional USB-KW24D512 packet sniffer/dongle for MKW24D512V can be used as a wireless network development, allowing monitoring of over-the-air traffic or can be used as reprogrammed development boards with application software as a network node.
