This training module presented by Professor L. Umanand of CEDT, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore provides an overview of the NXP® Cup – 2011. It introduces to the challenge describing the various components of the intelligent car tracker. This module also discusses the concepts of the control topology giving an intuitive feel for the controller design. It discusses the sensing and motor driving mechanisms describing their operation and control loop aspects. In summary, this module provides content that prepares the participants of the NXP Cup – 2011 to make innovative controller design to enable a model car to intelligently go along an unknown track.
