NEC Honors NXP with “Partner of the Year” Award

TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mar. 2, 2016-- NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ:NXPI), the global leader in smart connected solutions, announced that NEC Corporation, a leading provider of solutions that enable mobile broadband services,which was launched to start with Japan, awarded NXP with “Partner of the Year” for 2015 in the Key Components and Modules category. NEC leveraged NXP’s total solutions approach to helping customers quickly address market requirements. NEC combined NXP’s multicore QorIQ communications processors, LTE wireless software stack and extensive technical support to help NEC get to market with next-generation LTE-Advanced base station products six months ahead of schedule.
