In Part 3 of this series, I shared
a video of “living” paintings
that interact and morph as you move. It was one of many showcases featuring
i.MX applications processors that we filmed in 360 degrees at NXP FTF 2016.
The showcases take different interactive, digital world experiences and make
them real.
Enjoy this immersive 360 degree experience
with a headset/viewer or even straight from your phone or laptop by moving
side-to-side and up-and-down.
Here is Part 4 of the series …
E-cockpit
What it is:
This showcase demonstrates the use of multiple display systems controlled by a
single applications processor in a secure and safe manner, experienced through
an automotive cockpit with infotainment head unit, digital cluster, heads up
display and rear seat entertainment display.
How it works:
The i.MX applications processor runs a dashboard containing 3 LCDs for
cluster, infotainment and rear seat entertainment displays operating in a
simulated driving experience. The driving is show on a 65 inches curved 4K TV
with enabled HUD. A failover button can be pressed to simulate a failure in
the cluster which automatically recovers with an integrated advanced display
control system.
Technology demonstrated:
i.MX applications processor
drives multi-domain OS, hardware separation for safety and security, advanced
failover display capability, advanced graphics meeting real world use case
requirements.
Relevant applications:
E-cockpit, multi-domain medical devices, specialty tablets, industrial
automation, robotics
Stay tuned for Part 5, the last part in our series!
