About This Video
The new LPC1500 from NXP® simplifies motor control. This presentation will discuss the family's highly integrated analog subsystem -- which consists of two 12-channel, 12-bit ADCs operating at 2 Msps, 28 PWM channels from four SCTimer / PWM modules, four analog comparators and a quadrature encoder interface (QEI) -- and how it is used in six step commutation (or trapezoidal control) and Field Oriented Control (space vector control) for use in today's motor control applications. We will highlight the differences in motor types currently available including the benefits of each type and the preferred control algorithms along with their typical applications.
