This video demonstrates how to build a low-power, voice-enabled application using the NXP i.MX RT700 microcontroller unit (MCU). It features use of NXP’s Voice Intelligent Technology (VIT) software for always-on voice detection using minimal power draw. The RT700’s dual digital signal processor (DSP) cores (HiFi1 and HiFi4) and Arm® Cortex®-M33 cores allow flexible power-performance optimization. The demo includes real-world power measurements and highlights how smart clocking and voltage scaling enable efficient voice processing for smart home and wearable devices.
