Kevork Kechichian is executive vice president of MCU/MPU Engineering for NXP Semiconductors. In this role, he is responsible for leading global teams in architecture, IP and SoC, design enablement, targeting diverse markets in automotive microcontrollers and processors, high performance compute engines, ML/AI accelerators, media processors, industrial IoT and networking.
Prior to joining NXP in April 2019, Kevork held the role of senior vice president, engineering at Qualcomm, managing the global Snapdragon SoC and technology teams. In various leadership roles at Qualcomm, spanning more than 12 years, he was responsible for delivering 100+ SoCs in leading edge technologies, major breakthrough products in mobile and consumer markets, including 3G, 4G, 5G, snapdragon 8cx compute platform, automotive telematics and infotainment and more.
Kevork’s career spans more than 30 years in various semiconductor engineering and leadership roles: ATI Technologies – graphics and media processors; PMC-Sierra – network processors and protocol engines; Silicon Optix – video and image processors; LSI – media processors; and Biorithmics Corp – protein fold recognition accelerators.
Kevork holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from American University of Beirut in Lebanon, and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
