TJF1410 is NXP’s 10BASE-T1S physical medium dependent (PMD) transceiver compliant with One-Pair Ether-Net (OPEN) Alliance (OA) Technical Committee 14 (TC14) specifications and suitable for 10 Mbps industrial Ethernet applications. It communicates over the OA 3-pin interface with a host microcontroller unit (MCU) or switch, which must have the 10BASE-T1S digital physical layer (PHY). The device is a cost-effective solution for 10BASE-T1S connectivity and comes in a compact Heat-sink Very-thin Small-Outline No-lead, 8 pins (HVSON8) (3 x 3 mm) low-footprint package. It ensures high signal quality even in challenging electromagnetic environments, while having a low quiescent current consumption. This supports advanced diagnostics features such as topology discovery as specified in OA TC14. The TJF1410 complies with all OA TC14 conformance test specifications. It also supports OA Technical Committee 10 (TC10) through TC14 wake signal over the Ethernet data line and is fully compatible with a power‑over‑data‑line implementation. It can support use cases up to 32 nodes on a 10BASE-T1S bus and cable lengths up to 100 m.
