About This Video
On Friday June 28th, sponsors, students, professors and friends of e-gnition gathered at Technical University Hamburg Harburg to celebrate the launch of a new electric racing car; "egn13".
This new car has been built in just a year -- following the success of last year's model: "egn12". "egn13" is better, faster and smarter -- providing significant upgrades from the previous version. Its boosted technical specs are complemented by new design features and highly improved solid skin. This vehicle boasts completely revised sensor boards and wiring loom, as well as improved low voltage power supply. Modifications in the chassis and suspension provide more agility and more responsive handling. NXP® Telematics solution is an integral part of this new model -- enabling communications from the car to the outside world; allowing fans to follow the vehicle in real time from a tablet or PC.
The "egn13" will be used to compete in the Formula Student Electric Competition at Hockenheim: July 30th - August 4th. NXP wishes the team of e-gnition all the best and great success for the race.
