There is a growing number of drugs that need to be in controlled temperatures. A lot of newly approved drugs are biological, and these drugs need to be handled in a cold chain, meaning between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius. Other examples of temperature-sensitive drugs are insulin and vaccines.
A temperature logger based on the NTAG® SmartSensor will provide insights into the temperature handling and patients can check whether their drug is OK to use.
