The PCA9846PW-ARD Arduino shield allows easy integration with Arduino EVKs to evaluate 4 channel Fm+ I2C-bus switch features for I2C-bus multiplexer and I2C-bus voltage level translator applications.

Features

General Function

  • Ultra-low voltage operation, down to 0.8 V to interface with next-generation CPUs
  • 1-of-4 bidirectional translating switch
  • Latched outputs with 25 mA drive maximum capability for directly driving LEDs
  • Fm+ I2C-bus interface logic; compatible with SMBus standards
  • Allows voltage level translation between 0.8 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V and 3.3 V buses

Power

  • Supply voltage: VDD1 - 0.8 V to 3.6 V, VDD2 - 1.65 V to 3.6 V
  • Low standby current 2 uA (VDD1), 5 uA (VDD2)

Voltage Translation

  • Allows bidirectional voltage-level translation and I2C-bus switch between:
    • 0.8 V SCL/SDA to 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.3 V SCL/SDA
    • 1.8 V SCL/SDA to 2.5 V, 3.3 V SCL/SDA
    • 2.5 V SCL/SDA to 3.3 V SCL/SDA

Interface

  • 1 MHz I2C-bus
  • /RESET pin
