The TJA1421 is a LIN transceiver that provides the interface between a Local Interconnect Network (LIN) protocol controller and the physical bus in automotive applications. The TJA1421 supports LIN 2.x, SAE J2602, and ISO 17987-4:2016 communication at baud rates up to 20 kBd and is pin-to-pin compatible with the TJA1021. In addition to the TJA1021 feature set, the TJA1421 offers enhanced electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), electrostatic discharge (ESD) robustness, tighter responder termination for larger LIN networks, 1.8 V VIO support for advanced MCUs, and an MCU time-out fail-safe feature to help reduce power consumption.
Participating products are available for a minimum of 10 years. Designated participating products developed for the automotive, telecom and medical segments are available for a minimum of 15 years.
