NFC applications follow a wide variety of standards and specifications, some that govern the core technology and functionality of NFC devices (e.g. readers, tags, mobile phones) and some that are specific to applications (e.g. payments, access, identity, transit …). Standards exist to ensure all forms of NFC technology can interact with other NFC compatible devices and will work with newer devices in the future, so that volume and scale deployments are possible and efficient.
After a brief recap of NFC technology basic principles, we address in this webinar the relevant standards and specifications related to the core NFC functionalities, and we provide an outline of the main ones for payments, access and transit applications.
At the end of the session, participants shall be able to identify and cluster all the different standards and specifications relevant to their field of work for further, deeper exploration.
