The NXP NTAG® family of connected NFC tags adds tap-and-go connectivity to electronic devices. While passive NFC tags have RF interface, connected NFC tags also offer an I²C interface. This additional interface allows direct integration with a MCU and an easy link to the cloud. Connected NFC tags also provide power to other devices by energy harvesting. The Originality Signature adds an extra level of security and enables tag validation without a cloud connection.
