The Motor Control Application Tuning (MCAT) tool is a FreeMASTER graphical plug-in for real-time tuning of industrial and automotive permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), brushless DC (BLDC) and alternating current induction motor (ACIM) motor control applications.

It enables automated motor parameter estimation, control-loop autotuning and multimotor management, helping users adapt NXP's motor control solutions without requiring deep control theory expertise.

MCAT Tool may support different features and have different look depending on automotive or industrial domains.
