The configurable development system (CDS) supports a wide range of NXP® processors built on Power Architecture® technology, such as the MPC8548E family of processors, including the MPC8548, MPC8547E, MPC8545E and MPC8543E. It is primarily a development and evaluation system, which is enhanced by its modular design, making it highly configurable.
Using the CDS system on-board resources and an associated debugger, download and run code, set breakpoints, display memory and registers, and connect proprietary hardware via the expansion connectors. That code can then be incorporated into a system with the MPC85xx processor.
