32-Bit Microcontroller
Featuring a wide variety of serial interface offerings (up to three universal asynchronous receiver/transmitters (UARTS), one serial peripheral interface (SPI) and two I²C) the MCF521xx family allows developing for power-sensitive, high-performance applications where connectivity and easy integration to various systems is key.
The MCF521xx family is based on the cost-effective, low-power ColdFire® V2 core (up to 80 MHz and 76 MIPS performance @ 3.3-volt CPU). If more connectivity is needed, the MCF5221x Family offers USB on-the-go module

- Flash: 64 - 128 KB
- RAM (up to): 16 KB
- Integrated peripherials:
- Analog-to-digital converter (ADC): 8 channels, 12 bits
- Two I²C
- Three UART
- 56 general-purpose input/outputs (GPIOs) (max)
- Four timers
- This product is included in NXP®.s product longevity program, with assured supply for a minimum of 10 years after launch
