1. Out of the Box

The NXP analog product development boards provide an easy-to-use platform for evaluating NXP products. The boards support a range of analog, mixed-signal and power solutions. They incorporate monolithic integrated circuits and system-in-package devices that use proven high-volume technology. NXP products offer longer battery life, a smaller form factor, reduced component counts, lower cost and improved performance in powering state-of-the-art systems.

This page will guide you through the process of setting up and using the TEA2016DK1008 programming kit.

1.1 Kit Content and Packing List

1.2 Additional Hardware

In addition to the kit contents, the following hardware is necessary or beneficial when working with this board.

1.3 Minimum System Requirements

This evaluation board requires a Windows PC workstation. Meeting these minimum specifications should produce great results when working with this evaluation board:

  • Windows OS
  • USB connection

Installing software is necessary to work with this evaluation board. All listed software is available on the evaluation board's information page at NXP or from the provided link.

2. Get Hardware

2.1 Board Features

This board can be used to get familiar with programming TEA2016AAT/2dev samples.

The TEA20xx_SOCKET_DB1586 programming board is also suitable for programming small series of ICs.

2.2 Board Description

The TEA20xx_SOCKET_DB1586 programming board provides a socket for SO16 ICs, connectors for supply and I²C communication and an IC type selection jumper.

By connecting both 3-pin and 6-pin cables, TEA2016AAT/2 and TEA2016AAT/2 dev samples can be programmed by selecting the correct channel by the switch on the RDK01DB1563 USB-I²C interface.

The TEA20xx_SOCKET_DB1586 programming board can be used for all versions of TEA2016 and TEA2017 IC samples using the jumper selection.
