LPC3100/200 Series: Arm9-Based Microcontrollers

LPC3100/200 series MCUs support higher performance, lower power consumption, and a smaller footprint in applications that require flexible USB connectivity - all at a significantly lower price point thanks to the industry's lowest cost Arm9-based microcontrollers. They target the consumer, industrial, medical, automotive, and communication markets.

LPC3000 Features

The LPC3100 combines an 180 MHz Arm926EJ-S CPU core, high-speed USB 2.0 On-The-Go (OTG), up to 192 KB SRAM, NAND flash controller, flexible external bus interface, four channel 10-bit ADC, and a myriad of serial and parallel interfaces in a single chip targeted at consumer, industrial, medical, and communication markets.

With an extensive and enhanced feature set, the LPC313x Arm9 microcontrollers are ideal for a wide range of applications, including consumer applications such as advanced remote controls, language translators, A/V home devices, mobile and PC accessories, industrial applications such as industrial controls, factory and building automation, POS systems, bar code readers, e-Metering, security systems, Smart Cards with USB flash and power management systems, medical application such as portable diagnostics and pump and flow metering devices, automotive applications such as engine diagnostics, fleet management and in-dash audio, communications application such as I/O communication and network controllers, and instrumentation and testing applications.

The LPC314x series adds several new features over the LPC313x series including an AES decryption engine and secure One-Time-Programmable (OTP) memory. Running at 270 MHz, it also offers a 50 percent increase in speed over the LPC313x series.

The LPC315x series runs at 180 MHz and adds a stereo audio CODEC with a class AB headphone amplifier, a Power Supply Unit (PSU), a low-power real-time clock, and a Li-ion battery charger.
