The MCX A36 devices are scalable mixed-signal microcontrollers in the MCX A Series designed for motor control and advanced embedded control.
Designed to accelerate development of brushless direct current (BLDC) and permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives, motion control and robotics, MCX A36 integrates an Arm® Cortex®-M33 core running up to 240 MHz, mathematical acceleration unit (MAU) to improve performance in real-time motor control computations, SmartDMA, FlexIO, dual FlexPWM modules and up to four 16-bit ADCs to support responsive real-time control and flexible data handling. Full-speed USB, dual CAN FD, I3C and support for 4x 44-segment LCD displays help developers combine performance, connectivity and human-machine interface (HMI) integration in a single MCU platform, while memory options up to 1 MB Flash and 256 kB RAM support scalable embedded designs.
Integrated security features and the MCUXpresso Developer Experience provide software tools, application examples and expansion resources to support efficient MCX A36 development with evaluation available through the FRDM-MCXA366 development board to simplify prototyping and feature exploration.
