S32K3 family of 32-bit automotive MCUs provides Arm® Cortex®-M7-based scalability for automotive general-purpose applications, including automotive zone controller and battery management system (BMS) design contexts. S32K3 supports single, dual and lockstep core configurations, 512 KB to 12 MB flash and ISO 26262 functional safety compliance up to ASIL D.
S32K3 automotive MCUs integrate a hardware security engine (HSE), firmware over-the-air (FOTA) support and ISO 26262 compliant real-time drivers (RTD). The HSE supports AES-128/192/256, RSA, ECC, secure boot and key storage for automotive microcontroller security requirements.
S32K3 compatibility with the NXP S32 Automotive Platform supports software reuse across body and vehicle control, zone control and electrification applications. S32K3 microcontrollers includes MAPBGA, LQFP and HDQFP package options, with HDQFP reducing package footprint by up to 55% versus a standard QFP package.
